I wake up 5:25 a.m.
Two minutes before
The alarm is scheduled
To go off
I lay there
Almost in
A catatonic state
The Alarm sounds
And I manage
To quickly
Hit the snooze button
I’ll get up in just…

I mentally prepare

That I have not yet
Grown accustomed
I drift back off to sleep and then…
