IN CASE YOU MISSED IT…
WOW!!! Ali Caldwell closed out the night on “The Voice” yesterday and she did an amazing job. Her cover of “Without You” by Harry Nilsson generated a standing ovation from the audience and all four judges. This performance caused me to want to look at this video several times. She has a really big voice and amazingly a really looooooooooooooooooooong train on the gown she’s wearing. THIS IS A “MUST WATCH” VIDEO!!!!
DO IT ANYWAY!
Billy Gilman covered Martina McBride’s “Anyway” tonight on “The Voice”and did an awesome job. The lyrics were so poignant that I had to hear the song again. I listened to Martina’s version and it is so remarkable that I just had to post it. Check it out, especially the lyrics. If you don’t feel like listening…… “Do It Anyway”!!!!!
NO FEAR HERE
I’ve also seen it to mean False Evidence Appearing Real.
At any rate, there’s absolutely no reason to fear anything!!!
A HOMELESS PARADISE
I love stories that are interesting. This is one of those stories. Ceola Waddell Jr. is a 59 year old homeless man and has bee living at a busy underpass beneath L.A.’s 110 freeway. attitude and lifestyle are now on display for the world to see thanks to the internet. As of late, he has become an internet sensation. Check him out in the video above and peruse the story that I found on daiymail.com
“A homeless man who turned a freeway underpass into his personal paradise by furnishing it with a make-shift jacuzzi and four-poster bed has become a viral hit and unlikely tourist attraction.
Ceola Waddell Jr, 59, began living in the underpass in L.A.’s 110 freeway near Coliseum six months ago.
He has since foraged two porcelain toilets, discarded refrigerators, couches and two beds to transform the space into his personal refuge.
Despite becoming a viral hit thanks to a Facebook video of his dwellings, Waddell Jr faces having it all torn down by city officials.
They say the site is dangerous and that Waddell Jr has turned down their offers for help.
In a virtual tour posted to Facebook earlier this month, the cheery vagrant described the spot as ‘Paradise Lane’.”
Would you pay the $25.00 for a “room” in his “paradise?” You’ve got to give it to this guy, he’s taken a bad situation and made it better by his attitude. Additionally, he’s trying to be an entrepreneur. He better watch himself…. Uncle Sam will be calling!!!
INSPIRATION
It’s amazing how a little positivity goes a long ways. Sometimes it can be difficult to focus on the positive but it really makes all the difference in the world. How many times have you conjured up negative thoughts about what may happen only to realize that it was never going to turn out that way. The time spent on negative thoughts serves no purpose but to drag you down. Stay focused on the positive.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING
This is my favorite Thanksgiving song. It is simply called “We Gather Together”. It reminds me of the many times we sang this song at Thanksgiving in church as a young kid. It’s songs and memories like this that last a lifetime. Let me know what you think of this song. Have you heard it before???
ARETHA SINGS THE NATIONAL ANTHEM
Today before the Detroit Lions played the Minnesota Vikings, Aretha Franklin sang her rendition of the National Anthem. Tell me what you think of her performance. I try to stay positive but to be honest………..I didn’t like this one. I’ll give her 2 stars out of 10 on this version of the National Anthem. Thanks to loyal reader A Renae for the video.
GIVING THANKS
Okay this is another busy day and I don’t have a lot of time for this post. I really had to share this song. This is one of those tunes that stuck in my head and heart the minute that I heard it. It’s called “You Deserve It” by JJ. HAIRSTON & YOUTHFUL PRAISE. This is one of those WOW songs to me. I can’t tell you how many times that this song comes up in my mind daily. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. oh, and enjoy your Thanksgiving!!!

This is the week that we celebrate Thanksgiving. It is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. Thanksgiving was originally celebrated as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest. This is one of the busiest travel seasons all year long.
At any rate, I am having an “imaginary” dinner for my WordPress family and you are all invited. I will supply all of the “imaginary” turkey and dressing and I am asking each of you to bring something as well. Let me know what “imaginary” item you will bring to this great dinner party we are having. I’m looking to hear from each of you. Let’s get ready to have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
