Will you give my dad a job? That seemed to be the question that a 10 year old girl asked First Lady Michelle Obama at a meet-and-greet that was recently held for the children of White House employees. Oh, and please don’t assume that since her mother apparently works at the White House, that she is really making a lot of money. There are a lot of people who work in “important-looking” jobs who don’t make the amount of money that you would assume that they do.
One little girl apparently came with an agenda to the question and answer session Michelle Obama was quite touched by it.
The little girl, Charlotte Bell, had the opportunity to ask Mrs. Obama a question and instead she handed the First Lady a piece of paper and said: “My dad’s been out of a job for three years and I wanted to give you his resume.”
Mrs. Obama embraced the little girl and said “oh my goodness.”
“Well, it’s a little private, but she’s doing something for her dad,” was the only information that the First Lady of The United States gave to the audience.
While in Malaysia, the President of The United States, Barak Obama, responds to the ignorant comments made by the owner of the LA Clippers. I’m glad he addressed the issue. There still many who really don’t think this is a big issue. If you really want to see how big of an issue this is, just google the story about what the owner said and take a look at most of the comments. It is simply amazing how much hate there is in this world. I pray for these people.
This request by Sandy made me think of times I played this song while driving back and forth to work. It too is awesome.
Lean On Me by Kirk Franklin
A. Renae sent me this video. What she don’t know is the fact that this is one of my all time favorite songs. I hope you enjoy it too. Check out the words. They are poignant!
I know I’m late posting this story but I just had to post it. I’m not going to say much on this because you can read the article for yourself. I will say… PRAISE THE LORD!!!

Willie Myrick, 10.
A popular Gospel song titled “Every Praise” written by Hezekiah Walker recently became a weapon for a kidnapped 10-year-old boy who refused to stop singing it until his kidnapper was forced to let him go unharmed.
Police told 11 Alive that earlier this month young Willie Myrick, who was 9-years-old at the time, was kidnapped from his driveway in southwest Atlanta, Ga. He then reportedly dropped little Willie off unharmed in East Point after driving him around for three hours.
“He opened the door and threw me out,” said Willie of his ordeal. “He told me not to tell anyone.”
Willie, however, did not listen to his kidnapper’s orders and his story is moving people of faith throughout the United States.
He explained that after the man, who is still on the loose, grabbed him and threw him in the back of his car he just kept “praising God” with Walker’s “Every Praise,” a song he learned in Sunday school.
While he was singing, Willie said his kidnapper yelled expletives at him.
“He told me, shut up f*** boy,” said Willie. He, however, kept singing until his kidnapper got tired and threw him out ordering him not to reveal what happened.
Willie’s mother said she realized what had happened to her son after he called her from a local woman’s phone and she broke down.
“I cried,” she told 11 Alive. “I broke down and cried.”
Last Thursday evening, community leaders held a meeting in young Willie’s honor at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and the “Every Praise” songwriter, Hezekiah Walker, heard about it and showed up to support Willie.
“It’s just emotional to me because you never know who you’re going to touch,” said Walker about the story.
“I just wanted to hug him and tell him I love him,” Walker added.
Walker received a standing ovation Thursday when he gave a hug to Willie as the boy cried as he met his favorite singer.
“I really believe that God spoke through me to save that young man’s life,” said Walker.
Police have released a sketch of Willie’s abductor and are asking anyone with any information to call CrimeStoppers at 404-577-TIPS.
For all of you naysayers who think that race is not an issue in America, please stop it! Look, I’m not saying that everyone is racist but there are still a lot (and I mean a lot) of people who still have a problem with blacks. If you really take a good look at how President has been totally disrespected since he has been in office, it should be enough evidence to convince you. I know that the following information is just from one person but there are many more documented (imagine the one’s that are not documented) cases of blatant racism. In this clip below, L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling told his GF he does NOT want her bringing black people to his games … including Magic Johnson … and yes,it’s ALL on tape.
“TMZ Sports has obtained audio of Sterling making the racist declaration during a heated argument on April 9th with V. Stiviano … after she posted a photo on Instagram posing with Magic.
Sterling rails on Stiviano — who ironically is black and Mexican — for putting herself out in public with a black person (she has since taken the pic down). But it doesn’t end there. You have to listen to the audio to fully grasp the magnitude of Sterling’s racist worldview. Among the comments:
— “It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you’re associating with black people. Do you have to?” (3:30)
— “You can sleep with [black people]. You can bring them in, you can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it on that … and not to bring them to my games.” (5:15)
— “I’m just saying, in your lousy f******* Instagrams, you don’t have to have yourself with, walking with black people.” (7:45)
— “…Don’t put him [Magic] on an Instagram for the world to have to see so they have to call me. And don’t bring him to my games.” (9:13)
Sterling has a documented history of allegedly racist behavior — he’s been sued twice by the federal government for allegedly refusing to rent apartments to Blacks and Latinos.
He was also sued by former Clippers exec Elgin Baylor for racial discrimination — though a jury was ultimately not convinced and shot down Baylor’s case.
Sterling has been separated from his wife Shelly for years. She remains a key player in running the team and sources tell us she’s “mortified” by Sterling’s comments.
We have made several calls to Sterling and his people … so far, no word back.”
I don’t have much time this morning to post but I’ll leave you with this video by William Murphy, “Praise Is What I Do”
This little four month old nephew of Rachel Ayanaw looks just like John Legend (Legend is not his daddy). Ayanaw tweeted a picture (above) of her nephew on twitter this past weekend and twitter went nuts. She tweeted “My nephew looks like John Legend lol.” Boy was she right. Once the image went viral, Legend posted his own baby picture (below)… WOW

If you’ve visited this site for any length of time, you already know that I’m a big fan of reality tv. Recently, I watched the fiery reunion for the Real Housewives of Atlanta (Part 1). In the clip above Porsha Williams, the granddaughter of civil rights leader Hosea Williams, was provoked by Kenya Moore (former Miss America). Porsha responded by dragging Kenya across the stage. The women on The View discussed this incident and in my opinion, they got it right.
Sometimes people get just what they deserve and Kenya was on the receiving end… just what she deserved. Sure, here at studiotj, every attempt is made to keep it positive and I’m positive… that Kenya got just what she deserved. Check out the clip below and let me know what you think.
According to reports, this is the face of evil.
One of the most despicable acts ever occurred recently. The Huffington Post is reporting that 31 year old Scott Sholds has been arrested and charged with raping a 2-year old. Sholds allegedly filmed the act using a cell phone. This heinous act was discovered by Sholds ex-girlfriend. After making the shocking discovery, she bravely contacted the police. “She told police that she found the video on her cell phone after her son had taken the device and given it to Sholds, who is the boy’s father.” Apparently the victim was the daughter of a woman that Sholds had lived with recently. The death penalty is far too good for this monster.
