CHANGE ME…

This song was sent to my inbox by loyal reader Sandra. This is a good song by Tamela Mann called “Change Me.” Tamela has a number of gospel hits because she can sing. I’ve been a bit busy this week and haven’t posted and I certainly missed all of you. Hopefully this song will help in the “change” you need to make.

HAPPY RESURRECTION SUNDAY

Just in case you haven’t read about the resurrection of Jesus Christ before, you can read it here below. It was in my inbox this morning from the American Bible Society. Above is a song that I’m sure that I’ve posted before but I just love this song. It’s by Douglas Miller called “My Soul Is Anchored In The Lord.” Go out and love on someone today!!!

Matthew 28:1-20 (Good News Translation)

God’s Faithful Word of Hope

Introduction

Matthew 28:1-20: An angel rolls the stone from the tomb, revealing that Jesus has been raised to life. The women rush to tell the disciples; and on the way, they meet the risen Christ. Later, Jesus appears to his disciples on a hill in Galilee, calling them to go forth and make disciples of all people.

Today’s Scripture: Matthew 28:20b

[Jesus said], “I will be with you always, to the end of the age.”

Today’s Reading

The Resurrection

(Mark 16.1-10; Luke 24.1-12; John 20.1-10)

1After the Sabbath, as Sunday morning was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.2Suddenly there was a violent earthquake; an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled the stone away, and sat on it.3His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.4The guards were so afraid that they trembled and became like dead men.

5The angel spoke to the women. “You must not be afraid,” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.6He is not here; he has been raised, just as he said. Come here and see the place where he was lying.7Go quickly now, and tell his disciples, ‘He has been raised from death, and now he is going to Galilee ahead of you; there you will see him!’ Remember what I have told you.”

8So they left the tomb in a hurry, afraid and yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

9Suddenly Jesus met them and said, “Peace be with you.” They came up to him, took hold of his feet, and worshiped him.10“Do not be afraid,” Jesus said to them. “Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”

VICTORY!!!

This song is called “The Anthem” by Todd Dulaney. Last year when I first heard this song, I posted it and said that it could easily be a song about Easter. Well….this is Easter Weekend or Resurrection Weekend as some would call it. I have no idea what anyone else believes BUT…. I believe that Jesus Christ came and died on the cross for my sins. That’s the truth that gives me hope for life on this planet and for when I leave this physical body. That’s VICTORY!
AND….speaking of Victory, check out this song also by Todd Dulaney called “Victory Belongs to Jesus.”

1 Corinthians 15:57 – But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

WE ARE FAMILY

Today is National Siblings Day. The day was founded by native New Yorker, Claudia Evart in 1995 to honor and celebrate siblings. After losing her two siblings early in life in separate accidents, she knew how important siblings could be in our lives. I happen to have a large family and we communicate with each other regularly even though we live in different cities/states. Make sure that you reach out to your siblings today. Check out the song from 1979 by Sister Sledge called “We Are Family.”

MONDAY INSIGHT

When you lose touch with inner stillness, you lose touch with yourself. When you lose touch with yourself, you lose yourself in the world. …Your innermost sense of self, of who you are, is inseparable from stillness. This is the I AM that is deeper than name and form.
