SISTERHOOD OF THE WORLD BLOGGERS AWARD

As promised, I am nominating several blogs for an award that I received a few months back from http://conciergelibrarian.com/2015/09/26/sisterhood-of-the-world-bloggers-award/

The most interesting thing about this award that I received is that it was called the Sisterhood of The World Bloggers Award…. AND I am not a sister!!! I accepted this award anyway because we are all in this thing together.

2015 IS FLOATING AWAY… LET IT BE!

Check out Alicia Keys & John Legend singing Let It Be at the (Beatles 50th anniversary).

2015 is going….going…. nearly gone….. Let it be…

Gone… are the mistakes and confusion that life sometimes brings.

Gone… are the people who for one reason or another have walked (or got sent) away.

Gone… are the things that you meant to do.

Gone… are the heartaches of dreams deferred.

Gone…are the feelings of guilt about what you did not already get done.

Gone… or at least what needs to be gone is any negative energy that you’ve been holding onto.

Just let it be!!!

THANKFUL

For GOD… who sent HIS SON to die for sin.
For the eternal peace that I have within.
For the ability to live, love, and be free.
For my senses; I-can hear, touch, smell, taste…and see!
For the beauty of HIS holiness, great and small.
For unconditional love… I’m thankful for them all!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

If you ever want to put on a Christmas song to groove to, this is the one.  I’ve been grooving to this one for years and I hope you will embrace it as well.  It is Quincy Jones, featuring the All Star Chorus singing Handel’s Messiah.   This will probably be my last post before Christmas so……… MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you.  I still have some awards that I definitely must give out before the new year comes in so stay tuned!!!

STEVE HARVEY’S UNIVERSAL MISTAKE

The internet exploded last night as Steve Harvey announced the wrong winner at the 2015 Miss Universe pageant. Miss Colombia was announced as the winner instead of Miss Philippines… The crown was then taken from Miss Columbia and given to Miss Philippines,Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach.  Watch as Steve Harvey announce wrong Miss Universe winner and then has to announce the mistake.  Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez Arevalo was already wearing the crown as this year’s Miss Universe winner when the host Steve Harvey returned to apologize.  The internet went bananas with comments that I won’t even take time to post on this site.  After all, it was just a mistake.   Watch the video below.

ALL ABOUT CHRISTMAS

Lay the gifts aside and get with this:  Christmas is not about the shiny red bow on a box.  What many often forget is that this is a great time to minister to others about the miraculous birth of JESUS CHRIST and HIS saving grace.  The meaning is really conveyed here in this awesome video from the movie “The Bible”.  The song “Mary Did You Know” is being performed by Ceelo Green.

Luke 2:1, 4-5 NIV – The Birth of Jesus ] In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.

“GO AWAY……………”

One of my favorite lines in Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video is “Go Away”…. The line is used when Michael turns into a werewolf and gets ready to “turn it out”.  The truth is…

Michael Jackson is still “turning it out”. It’s hard to believe that it has been six years since Michael Jackson’s death (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009). He mesmerized the world for the most of his life and he continues to amaze.  Thriller, by Michael Jackson, has recently been certified multi-platinum 30 times and that is just in the US alone.  That means he has sold over 30 million copies of Thriller right here in the United States.  Jackson is by far the best selling artist of all time with Thriller as the first album ever selling over 100 million copies worldwide.  Jackson has over 1 billion total sales credited to him.  With so many people with Michael Jackson albums in their possession, he will never “go away…………………………”.

Check out the extended version of Thriller below.

WORTH FIGHTING FOR

This is a song that I’ve been grooving to recently. The lyrics, the beat, the spirit behind it…. are all “worth fighting for”. The song is by
Brian Courtney Wilson and it is entitled “Worth Fighting For”. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. Also, remember the reason for the season… is CHRIST.
