Sometimes people don’t know when to stop and ultimately their actions costs them much more than they want to pay. Some of you may remember this story from several years ago. The lady in this story accused the Duke Lacrosse team of raping her. Of course, her lies were exposed in court. She’s back in the news because she has now been convicted of 2nd degree murder of her boyfriend. She has been sentenced to 14 years in jail. She was doing way too much. Reminds me of George Zimmerman. He’s headed down the same path.

Via NewsOne reports:
Judge Paul Ridgeway immediately sentenced Mangum to serve a minimum of 14 years in prison. Mangum and her attorney Daniel Meier argued that she was in fear for her life at the time of the murder. “He was bigger than her. He was on top of her. He was choking her. [She gave him a] single stab wound to the flank,” said Meier. Mangum testified in her own defense Wednesday. She told jurors Daye was angry with her because she had “disrespected” him by flirting with another man. Mangum said she locked herself in the bathroom, but Daye kicked down the door and grabbed her by the hair, before pulling her into the bedroom. “He straddled me, hit me, and then he started choking me,” she said. “I couldn’t breathe. My head hurt real bad.” Mangum said she was afraid. “I was just trying to survive and I felt like Reginald was trying to kill me,” said Mangum. Mangum made national headlines in 2006 when she falsely accused several members of the Duke University lacrosse team of raping her while she worked as a stripper at a party. North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper dismissed all charges against the athletes after it was determined that Mangum lied about the assault.

it is difficult for me to really say who the real victim is in this story. I keep reiterating that people need to leave these kids alone. I am saying it again. There is so much wrong here, so much…
Teen football captain Tarence Mitchell was arrested in Connecticut this week following the death of a 27-year-old Bloomfield man.
The 18-year-old is accused of fatally stabbing Ronald Taylor, Jr., who he had a sexual relationship with, court documents reveal. According to WFSB, police say Taylor was stabbed five times in the back with a steak knife outside Mitchell’s home Thursday night.
Though Mitchell initially told police that the two were attacked by a pair of hooded men, he later relented and confessed to police that he perpetrated the crime. He has since been charged with murder.

According to The Hartford Courant, Mitchell revealed to police that he had met Taylor two years ago through his stepmother and frequently visited his house, where Taylor supplied the teen with alcohol and marijuana. While Mitchell said he was interested in being friends, he told police Taylor wanted a different kind of relationship.
Mitchell told police that he was trying to distance himself from Taylor, and Taylor once posted a photo of Mitchell on Facebook with the caption “Bloomfield gay football player.” Though the photo was taken down, Mitchell told authorities that Taylor had threatened to repost it if Mitchell tried to disassociate himself again.
On Thursday, Taylor texted Mitchell, allegedly telling the teen that he was coming over and it “wasn’t going to end well,” NBC Connecticut reports.
Mitchell told police he felt threatened and armed himself with a knife. He allegedly stabbed Taylor after the 27-year-old punched him in the face. Police say Taylor tried to run away, but Mitchell chased him down and delivered the fatal stabbings. After police responded, Taylor was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Mitchell, who has no previous arrests, is currently being held on $1 million bond. He is due back in court in early December.

The only thing that needs to be knocked out here is the dumb behavior that is being exhibited. I heard about this dumb game several weeks ago. If you haven’t, it goes like this: a group of teens (black youth have been the ones that this is attributed to) get together and walk around to find a human target. When their target least expects it, one of them steps up and hits the target with brute force and knocks them out. They consider this fun. My hope is that this dumb game stops immediately.
Light was shed on the growing trend via a recent report from CBS 2 in New York City. The report showed unsettling footage of (black) teens participating in this “game” which involves randomly targeting passersby, with the ultimate goal being to knock them out with one punch as they walk by.
One victim shown in the footage is a 46-year-old man from Hoboken, N.J., who was found dead with his neck broken and head lodged between iron fence posts, according to
Check out the video below. This is sad to see.

A lot of people need to know that prayer changes things. All of us need hope and help at some point and it certainly can come in the form of prayer. Prayer really helped this Frenck engineer escape captivity. It may not exactly be what you think, but prayer was involved. Check out the story below. You’ll be amazed.

Paris (AFP) – A French engineer abducted by Islamist militants in Nigeria and held for 11 months arrived back in France on Monday after managing to escape his kidnappers.
A plane carrying the “weakened” 63-year-old Francis Collomp, accompanied by France’s Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, landed early Monday at a military airport outside Paris.
He emerged from the plane looking extremely tired, his face drawn, and was met by relatives and the French prime minister.
Collomp was taken by Islamist militants on December 19, 2012, in the state of Katsina in northern Nigeria.
The circumstances of his escape remain uncertain. Nigerian police said he had escaped in the northern city of Zaria on Saturday while his captors were praying.
“He watched his captors’ prayer time. They always prayed for 15 minutes. And yesterday they did not lock the door to his cell,” , said Femi Adenaike Adeleye, the police commissioner in the regional capital of Kaduna.

“While they were at prayer he sneaked out and began to run.”
But a source with knowledge of the case said he had taken advantage of a Nigerian military operation to sneak out of his unlocked cell.
Collomp stopped a motorcycle taxi and had it take him to the nearest police station, from where he was brought to Kaduna.
Adeleye said Collomp had been held in the city of Kano after his abduction and about two months ago brought to Zaria.
Didier Le Bret, the head of the French foreign ministry’s crisis centre, earlier told AFP Collomp was “weakened” but in good enough health to travel.

I found this on Youtube. Trust me to tell you this: You can be ministered to in a lot of different ways by a lot of different people. These two happen to be talking about my favorite reality show “Preachers of LA”. Listen at their heart and you’ll definitely get ministered to. We’re ending the week in the Spirit of The Lord.

One lesson that all of need to get in life is that you have no idea (absolutely no idea) what another person is going through. Too often we put our faith in too many others like the preacher, the teacher, our parents, our friends or others that we encounter in life that seem to have it so together. The following article is an example of putting your faith in man and not in GOD.

A Georgia pastor took his own life in an extreme way and has left his family and 800 member congregation stunned and heartbroken.

Teddy Parker Jr., pastor of Bibb Mount Zion Baptist Church in Macon, mortally shot himself outside his home after Sunday morning service, a coroner said, according to 13WMAZ.

Houston County Coroner Danny Galpin reported Parker’s wife first found him in the driveway of their Warner Robins home with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Parker, 41, and his wife Larrinecia Sims Parker have two beautiful daughters, Bibb Mount Zion Baptist church’s website states.

“Pastor Parker, a man of profound spiritual vision, gifted with intellectual qualities, was called to serve as Pastor of Bibb Mount Zion Baptist Church in July 1997.”

So far, it is unclear what is behind the tragedy.

“We consider this a private matter between the family and the BMZ church family,” Lakesia Toomer, a church official, told 13WMAZ. “We kindly ask that the public respects our privacy at this time.”

E. Dewey Smith, Jr., the Pastor/Teacher of The Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church located in Decatur, Georgia, tweeted yesterday:

My 41 year old friend who Pastored, passed away this morning in between his services. STRESS can kill you!!!!

“I lost my Friend!! Never knew he was Pastoring, Preaching & in Unbearable Pain! We gotta deal with this!”

Pastor Smith wrote in his another tweet:

We’ve had 2 YOUNG, GIFTED GEORGIA Pastors to commit suicide in the last 3 YEARS! 1 in Columbus & the other in Macon–WE MUST ADDRESS THIS!”

Rodney B. Jackson tweeted to Pastor Smith:

Every leader needs someone in his/her life who can talk him/her off the edge of the cliff.”

Here is one of Pastor Parker’s sermons titled “Facing Your Storm With Confidence.”
