“He Has His Hands On You” (with lyrics) by Marvin Sapp is one of those songs that I could listen to all day. Listen to the lyrics and how masterfully this song is put together. The song has been out since around 2013 but this is a great song. Hopefully it will help to usher the spirit into your day….

Isaiah 48:13-14King James Version (KJV)

13 Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.

I love good music and some songs really stand out. This is one of those songs. No matter how many times I hear this one, I’m ready to hit the replay button. Maybe because the message is so poignant and the vocals are so on point or perhaps it’s the heat behind the song that makes it so powerful. Though the words are simple, I chose this video with the lyrics attached for someone who just may need to read/sing along. This song is called “Second Chance” by Monique Walker (Hezekiah Walker and LFCC) I hope you enjoy the remainder of your day and weekend. Tis the season…………….

Matthew 18:21-22King James Version (KJV)

21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Okay this is another busy day and I don’t have a lot of time for this post. I really had to share this song. This is one of those tunes that stuck in my head and heart the minute that I heard it. It’s called “You Deserve It” by JJ. HAIRSTON & YOUTHFUL PRAISE. This is one of those WOW songs to me. I can’t tell you how many times that this song comes up in my mind daily. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. oh, and enjoy your Thanksgiving!!!

This is a song that I’ve been spiritually grooving to for a few months now.  Yesterday, loyal reader Sandi sent this link to me and I knew it was time to share it with you.  The song is called “God Provides” by Tamela Mann”.  Also check out the accompanying scripture.

Philippians 4:19 – But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

May the rest of your life be filled with the provision that only God can provide!!!  Remember:  When God gives you a vision, HE will make provision.

pencilI ran across this from some notes that I took in church one Sunday.  I’m not sure who the author is or who preached the sermon.  I just know that this was poignant enough for me to write it down and keep.  I hope you get the message and enjoy the remainder of your day:

A pencil-maker told the pencil 5 important lessons before putting it in the box.

1.)  Everything you do will always leave a mark.

2.)  You can always correct the mistakes you make.

3.)  What is most important is what’s inside of you.

4.)  In life, you will undergo painful sharpening’s which will only make you better.

5.)  To be the best pencil, you must allow yourself to be held and guided by the hand that holds you.

This was in my in-box this morning from loyal reader A. Renae.  I hope it gets you going like it did me.  This is a flashback video called “When I Rose This Morning” by the Mississippi Mass Choir.  Hopefully this will encourage you to get up and keep it moving as you function in your hopes, dreams, and goals.  Be inspired!!!

The above music is Donnie McClurkin’s “Great is Your Mercy.”  This is another one of those songs that helps to put life in perspective.  Too often there are those who think that everything is about them and what they are doing when in the big scheme of things it is God’s grace and mercy that even allows us to function daily.

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:4-5 NIV.  The song is several years old but it certainly has a timeless meaning.  Let me know what you think……….

Sleep On

So many times you’re thought about

So many times we mourn

Our hearts are still yet bleeding

Because they certainly have been torn

The time we had to see your face

Has come and gone exceptionally fast

And yet this love you’ve let us with

For a lifetime… It will last

This heart of gold is now laid to rest

Our memories we hold remarkably near

And though we reverently yield to God’s plan

We still…wish that you were here

Goodbyes are often difficult to declare

Their pain runs ever so deep

And so we’ll never bid you adieu

We’ll just see you…as sound asleep

Today is another day that I found out that someone that I know has died.  That now makes about six people in the last six or seven months.  Although death is inevitable, it is certainly surprising at times and overwhelming as well.  Right now I’m burning a candle for all of those families who are grieving their loved-ones.  I’m  also wishing eternal peace for the deceased.  Above is a poem that I wrote some time ago and I hope it speaks to the heart of those who are trying to cope with their loss.
