I know y’all remember this one by Peobo Bryson…”If Ever You’re In My Arms Again”….
WOW
This is one for the lovers…..
This classic by icons Whitney & Mariah still gives me that wonderful feeling. Because of their vocal greatness, there was rumor long ago that these two were feuding. They put the rumor to rest by performing this great song “When You Believe” together. They both have many Billboard records and unfortunately Whitney is no longer physically with us. Today I’m celebrating them by posting this duet. Enjoy!!!
I thought about this song today. This is one of my favorite Stevie Wonder songs called Ngiculela,Ngiculela – Es Una Historia / I Am Singing. It’s from his hit album Songs In The Key of Life. This music is timeless. It’s just something about this song that does it for me. It seems to me that every song on the album was a hit.
WOW!!! Ali Caldwell closed out the night on “The Voice” yesterday and she did an amazing job. Her cover of “Without You” by Harry Nilsson generated a standing ovation from the audience and all four judges. This performance caused me to want to look at this video several times. She has a really big voice and amazingly a really looooooooooooooooooooong train on the gown she’s wearing. THIS IS A “MUST WATCH” VIDEO!!!!
It’s still hard to believe that it has been seven years since Michael Jackson’s death (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009). I remember the day he died and I also remember a few family members and friends calling to check on me because they knew how big of a fan I still am of this iconic individual. I think we all know that there will never be another to come and do it like Michael did it. He mesmerized the world for the most of his life and truthfully he still continues to amaze.  Most artists will continue to tell you of the huge impact that Michael has on their music. His music still sets the bar high….very high! I’m posting MAN IN THE MIRROR for your enjoyment.
****To those who have a problem with this blog celebrating THE KING OF POP or any other artist…. please forward your emails to http://www.getyourlife.com****
(I’m frankly not interested!!!) #ITAIN’TTHATSERIOUS! Â Also remember to take a fresh look at:Â “THE MAN IN THE MIRROR.”
How many of us remember this classic from Prince originally released in 1984 on the “Purple Rain” album?  This is one of those songs that has easily stuck in my mind from this legendary artist.  I’ve seen many news reports that show many people riding by his Minneapolis studio.  Fans have also began dropping flowers by the studio as well. He is certainly music royalty that is now gone………. He was found dead today in an elevator. Now….HE HAS BEEN ELEVATED TO ANOTHER LEVEL!!!  RIP PRINCE!
TMZ is reporting the following:
“Prince hit up a local pharmacy hours before he died — the 4th time he visited this week — indicating his health was far worse than the simple flu.
TMZ obtained this photo of Prince leaving a Walgreens near his home in Minnesota Wednesday night at around 7 PM.
Prince hit up a local pharmacy hours before he died — the 4th time he visited this week — indicating his health was far worse than the simple flu.
TMZ obtained a photo of Prince leaving a Walgreens near his home in Minnesota Wednesday night at around 7 PM.
Our sources tell us Prince had frequented the Walgreens for years — but last night, people at the store were concerned because he looked much more frail and nervous than usual.
As we previously reported, Prince’s team told the media he was suffering from the flu. It seemed odd, because his private jet had to make an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois last Friday, just 48 minutes from his home.
Prince was hospitalized … but was discharged after only a few hours. Our sources in Moline told us at the time they felt Prince left the hospital way too soon because he was “not doing well” and needed further medical care.
On Saturday, the day after he was released from the hospital, Prince took the stage at a dance party near his home and curiously said, “Wait a few days before you waste any prayers.”
Prince died Thursday morning. Officials are investigating the cause of death.
Once you listen to 12 year-old Beau Dermott on this episode of Britain’s Got Talent that aired Saturday night (April 9), you’ll definitely see why she’s “Defying Gravity”. This little girl has a BIG FUTURE ahead of her. She received a standing ovation from the entire crowd… and rightly so.
The theme of love continues today with this musical flashback to Luther Vandross featuring Gregory Hines. The song is called “There’s Nothing Better Than Love”. This is when music was music. Luther has so many great songs. As a matter of fact, many of you were conceived to the beautiful sounds of this musical phenomenon. I’ve seen him live a couple of times and he sounds just like you’re putting in one of his cds. In 2005 Grammy-winning soul singer and songwriter Luther Vandross, died on July 1st in a New Jersey hospital. He was 54. Gregory Hines, dancer, actor, director, musician died in 2005 at the age of 57. Â
One of my favorite lines in Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video is “Go Away”…. The line is used when Michael turns into a werewolf and gets ready to “turn it out”. The truth is…
Michael Jackson is still “turning it out”. It’s hard to believe that it has been six years since Michael Jackson’s death (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009). He mesmerized the world for the most of his life and he continues to amaze. Thriller, by Michael Jackson, has recently been certified multi-platinum 30 times and that is just in the US alone. That means he has sold over 30 million copies of Thriller right here in the United States. Jackson is by far the best selling artist of all time with Thriller as the first album ever selling over 100 million copies worldwide. Jackson has over 1 billion total sales credited to him. With so many people with Michael Jackson albums in their possession, he will never “go away…………………………”.
Check out the extended version of Thriller below.
