Naked People in Heaven

This is such a great piece that I had to share it. Often, we only think about now (our microwave society). Yet, there is more much more eternally than we can ever imagine. Let this help to start your week off with a bang. There will be naked people in HEAVEN… but you won’t see them as such.

Beautiful Life with Cancer

Instant bad mood.  I search around for my screaming phone on the floor under my bed.  The damn alarm clock continues to scream at the top of its lungs.  Slowly gaining control of my sleeping body, I step out of bed, pick up my phone and turn off the alarm.  The pain of waking up.  In heaven, I will roll over and enjoy the waking up process just as much as snuggling into bed and drifting off to sleep.  (That is if we sleep in heaven.)

My world runs about me in fast forward.  Honking impatiently at the slow moving car, spending what we don’t have for the newest item that hits the shelves, driving around our children to some place other than home.  Why do I join the insanity of the crowd?  I do believe in busying oneself with hard work, but that is not what is happening here…

Just this morning I heard Donnie McClurklin talking about how God is in control. I then signed on to my computer and I happened upon this particular blog that spoke about the wisest thing to do. It all goes hand in hand.  Hopefully you’re encouraged and inspired today!

“Fast runners do not always win the race, and the brave do not always win the battle” (Eccl.9:11).

The ways of God are very hard to understand. It is not uncommon for bright sunshine to be followed immediately by a down pour of rain. The answers are not always straight.

The Bible says, “Wise men do not always get rich, and capable men do not always rise to high positions.” (Eccl. 9:11).

You cannot say what comes next in your life. God alone knows. Trusting him with your destiny is therefore the wisest thing to do.

How I Found My “Why” and Why it’s Important to Find Yours

I read this a couple of days ago and it keeps running through my heart and mind. Hopefully it does not take such tragedy to motivate you to action. For me, just reading this post has motivated me to re-commit to several goals that I have been procrastinating on. Let me know if this one motivates you like it has me.

My Journey 2 Scratch

nietzsche_3Do you have a why? Why do you want to do what you do?  My why found me five years ago…

It was five years ago today, at the age of 24, I was sitting next to my mother as she lay on her deathbed dying of cancer and I watched as she took her last breath.  As I sat there, staring blankly at her now soulless body, my mind was flooded with so many thoughts and emotions.  Most importantly, at that moment, I truly realized just how short life can be and I now had a deep desire and a “why” to do something great with my life.

She is why I want to go after my dreams.  She is why I want to inspire others to go after theirs and she is why I want to work to improve myself each and every day, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

I was reading another blog yesterday and I ran across the following comment that took me to another level. I’ll give you a chance to read it before I comment:

“1. My main issue is Scientololgy. The religion teaches them to live free and without rules and boundaries which is already a set up for distruction especially for kids that are easily manipulated
Secondly, they’re not in school. Last time I mentioned this some folks got pissed but whatever. I understand they are rich and can hire someone to read the bathroom sign and wipe their azz for them but they need an education. Willow admitted to not being able to count because she is too busy
Jadan lives with Will and Willow lives with Jada on separate coast
I will spare you Will and Jada’s sex-capades with other folks lol”

First of all, I would have to ask, how does this commenter know so much about the lives of the Smith Family? This family seems to be doing great and they also seem to be quite balanced. If the kids can’t read or have an education, how are they able to learn the lines of the script of THE MOVIES they are playing in. AND they must be able to count a bit because making music involves keeping time with the beat.
I’m ashamed that we have evolved into a society where rumour and innuendo are the catch of the day and resides at the top of the menu. Where do any of us get off microscoping other’s lives when ours too are sooooooooooooooooo out of balance. And to add insult to injury, not only has this commenter gone into the bedroom of these individuals, but has insulted the children as well. What if people decided to write about the parenting skills (or lack thereof) of this commenter? Or better yet, what may or may not be going on in their bedroom. Additionally, because we are NOT the true and righteous judge, how can we have so much to say about someone else’s religion. It’s all a choice. To the person that made these insipid comments: GET YOUR LIFE!
