We all need reminders to keep smiling when our heart may long for what was or what hasn’t arrived in our lives yet.

There are times that we just need to know that our prayers are heard, our hard work is not in vain, and our presence is appreciated.

Guess what?  I want to let you know that what you feel will not last always.   Although there is heaviness or lack, it is temporary.  There are brighter days ahead.

Shift your perspective to what is going right at this moment.

Shift your thoughts to the prayers that have been answered and are being worked on right now.

Shift your tears into tears of joy.  Know that everything is being worked out, even if you are unable to see or feel it right now.

Stand firm on your faith and trust that things will work and come together for your good.

Just in case you haven’t read about the resurrection of Jesus Christ before, you can read it here below. It was in my inbox this morning from the American Bible Society. Above is a song that I’m sure that I’ve posted before but I just love this song. It’s by Douglas Miller called “My Soul Is Anchored In The Lord.” Go out and love on someone today!!!

Matthew 28:1-20 (Good News Translation)

God’s Faithful Word of Hope

Matthew 28:1-20: An angel rolls the stone from the tomb, revealing that Jesus has been raised to life. The women rush to tell the disciples; and on the way, they meet the risen Christ. Later, Jesus appears to his disciples on a hill in Galilee, calling them to go forth and make disciples of all people.

Today’s Scripture: Matthew 28:20b

[Jesus said], “I will be with you always, to the end of the age.”

Today’s Reading

The Resurrection

(Mark 16.1-10; Luke 24.1-12; John 20.1-10)

1After the Sabbath, as Sunday morning was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.2Suddenly there was a violent earthquake; an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled the stone away, and sat on it.3His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.4The guards were so afraid that they trembled and became like dead men.

5The angel spoke to the women. “You must not be afraid,” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.6He is not here; he has been raised, just as he said. Come here and see the place where he was lying.7Go quickly now, and tell his disciples, ‘He has been raised from death, and now he is going to Galilee ahead of you; there you will see him!’ Remember what I have told you.”

8So they left the tomb in a hurry, afraid and yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

9Suddenly Jesus met them and said, “Peace be with you.” They came up to him, took hold of his feet, and worshiped him.10“Do not be afraid,” Jesus said to them. “Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”

Closed Doors

When I saw this post , it made me think of my tagline for this blog: LIVE IN THE (PRESENT) THAT YOU’VE BEEN GIVEN.
Whatever door you’ve closed…sometimes needs to remain closed.

Voyager of freedom

We close the door to the past and put the key in a safe place. Every so often we find ourselves revisiting the steps of that broken, rusty, dusty door hoping to find what use to be on the other side. What was once always there is now gone but hope is not lost. What we don’t realize is that what use to be our world will soon be replaced by a greater version then what we had. Replaced with something we can’t even start to dream of. The odd thing about all this is once we have it in our lives we can’t see ourselves without it even though we once never had it at all. A wise man once said; “Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end”.

Dare To Be Yourself

Check out this great post that I found….

Tony Bennett once said: “It sounds so simple, but if you just be yourself, you’re different than anyone else”. You see, to the best of my knowledge and from the beginning of time itself, there has never been anyone quite like you. This simply means that if you try to be anyone other than yourself, you kill your own personalility, and integrity. The question is, how do we realize this uniqueness?  simply “dare to be yourself”. Daring to be yourself is one of the basic laws of human existence. Finding yourself, knowing yourself and being yourself intakes divine capability, because God put a personalility in every man’s life different from any other who He ever created. When you are original, you are in essence daring to be yourself and everything that includes who you really are.

Becoming yourself can be a scary and daunting experience. Why can that be scary?…
