It is nice to receive awards…..BUT they are work. Recently, Christian of was kind enough to nominate me for the Blogger Recognition Award. His site is one of those must visit sites if nothing more than the motivation that you can get from what he has done. This man has managed to transform himself from fat to fit. That transformation had to be much more than a physical one. Can you imagine the mental transformation? Anyway, I’m really GRATEFUL that he nominated me for this award. I think this is my 2nd time being nominated for this award. I’m posting the song GRATEFUL by Hezekiah Walker because I am ever so grateful. Here are the rules (please forgive me if I somehow manage to break them).
• Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
• Write a post to show your award.
• Give a brief story of how your blog started.
• Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
• Select 15 other bloggers you want to give this award to.
• Comment on each blog and let them know you have nominated
them and provide the link to the post you created.

Studiotj was created mainly to inject some positivity into the lives of anyone who dared to come and visit. I am very appreciative for every visitor, every comment, and all of the love that I have experienced since joining the WordPress family. There are MANY sites that I could nominate but today, here is my list. Please try and visit them. There is a great deal of inspiration, education, and love that I get from each of them.

-My advice to new bloggers is:
Be true to yourself and have fun!
-Find your voice and be careful not to pay too much attention to the stats.

And the nominees are……………………………………….

This was in my in-box this morning from loyal reader A. Renae.  I hope it gets you going like it did me.  This is a flashback video called “When I Rose This Morning” by the Mississippi Mass Choir.  Hopefully this will encourage you to get up and keep it moving as you function in your hopes, dreams, and goals.  Be inspired!!!

This is one of my favorite songs especially this time of year. It is called “The Old Rugged Cross” being sung by Al Green. This is the first time I’ve heard Rev. Green sing this song and he does a great job. According to Scripture, Christians believe that Jesus was raised back from the dead after three days. He had been crucified on the cross and that death is commemorated on what we call Good Friday. The belief also is that Jesus’ death was in payment for our sins as long as we believe in Him…and I do!!! On Easter Sunday, we celebrate His resurrection. Can you imagine carrying a heavy cross and being crucified on it for someone else’s sins? I can’t imagine but… I AM GLAD HE DID.

I’ve heard many versions of this song.  Most of them are really good.  This is Donnie McClurkin & Yolanda Adams singing The Prayer.  Trust me, we all need it not just daily, but moment by moment.  Enjoy your Friday Inspiration.

This is one of my top picks for songs last year.  I do have several more but this one really is awesome!!!   The song is called “How Awesome is Our God” by Israel & New Breed (feat. Yolanda Adams).

Here we go again.  I believe that this is what I’m supposed to post today.  This morning when I checked my inbox these two items appeared.  One was from loyal reader A. Renae (Patti Labelle’s first video – YOU ARE MY FRIEND) and the other was from Bible Gateway with my word for the day.  I think they go together.  Let this be your motivational moment for this day 5/21/2015.

1 Corinthians 1:10 NIV I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.

Basically…. STOP TRIPPING!  Far too many people spend too much of their time in other people’s affairs looking for the negative things that they can find.  Another scripture asks the question:  How can you see the dust in someone else’s eye and not see the plank in your own.  This word of the day really motivated me today in so many ways.

For my 500th post, yes my five hundredth post, I am grateful to GOD first of all and also to all of you for your continued viewership. Thank all of you for continuing to come to studiotj. This blog is still a work in progress and trust me, I have plans to grow this site more and more. I have truly been surprised that people from all over the world come to this site. Take a look at a snapshot at some of the daily activity on my site.

It has really blown me away to see people from foreign lands visiting studiotj.
