Bobbi Kristina, Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s daughter, was found face down in a bath tub yesterday just days before the third anniversary of mother Whitney Houston’s similar death.  She has been placed in a medically induced coma apparently due to some swelling in the brain.  According to sources, she was found by her husband, Nick Gordon, who began CPR before the police and paramedics arrived.

Reports are indicating that a police search found no drugs in the home (the same home they shared with Whitney).  The cause of her collapse has yet to be determined.  Her condition currently has been described as stable.

It is a MIRACLE to be alive and I’m truly grateful.  Today is MLK Jr. Day and it’s being celebrated all over the world.  There are many who still hold onto those antiquated ideas of superiority yet they obviously fail to realize that GOD is the only superior ONE!

Before I get too far off the beaten path, I am posting this video today to remember this iconic lady WHITNEY HOUSTON.  A movie about her is currently being featured on Lifetime.  I haven’t seen it yet but I’ve heard both good and bad things about it.  I will reserve my comments until I’ve seen it for myself.  If you’ve seen the movie, let me know what you think.  I’m going to try to see it real soon.  Check out this song by Whitney.  It is one of my favorites by her.

We’re just a few days into 2015 but we can’t entirely forget 2014 especially when watching this footage of bloopers. Some of these are hilarious. Additionally, what’s funny to me may not be funny to you and vice versa. Hopefully you will find something here to amuse you. I can assure you that you will. Enjoy!

Some of the things that you hear from the pulpit nowadays is totally ridiculous!!! What WORD are some of these preachers preaching from? It is certainly NOT THE WORD OF GOD!!! When I saw this video, it really saddened me. And to think that a lot of these people seemed to really enjoy what the pastor was saying. I just want you to listen for yourself and let me know if it’s just me or this………………………. is this totally out of order. I think that some of these people get up on that pulpit for entertainment purposes only.

This is a video you just must see. The dancer is Kenichi Ebina and he is the winner of last year’s “America’s Got Talent”.
With the kind of amazing body control that this guy has, it is easy to see why he won. I remember seeing some of his other out-of-this-world performances as well. I’m sure that you will love this.

When you go to bed tonight, don’t forget to set your clocks forward one hour. I guess that gets us closer to Spring. I personally like cold weather but I am ready for Spring. In celebration of Spring, I’m posting this gospel video flashback, Oh Happy Day by the Edwin Hawkins Singers.

Kyrgyzstan officially the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyz: Кыргыз Республикасы; Russian: Кыргызская Республика), is a country located in Central Asia.[7] Landlocked and mountainous, Kyrgyzstan is bordered by Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west, Tajikistan to the southwest and China to the east. Its capital and largest city is Bishkek.
I give you this bit of background to introduce you to this tiny choir director. One day she will laugh at herself directing this choir. Her dad sings in the choir and she seems to be keeping him and the other members in the choir of Kyrgyzstan’s Central Baptist Church in line. Watch as she directs them.
This is simply adorable.

I want you to check out this article. I’m in a rush this morning and I don’t have a lot of time to comment but WOW!!! I have heard a lot about this movie and I have ben planning on seeing it. It is now real high on my list.

*Author Solomon Northup’s harrowing book “12 Years A Slave,” and the Oscar-nominated film it inspired, will be added to the high school curriculum later this year, thanks in part to a campaign spearheaded by Montel Williams, reports the New York Times.
The National School Boards Association announced that the work will be sent to public high schools across the United States through a partnership between the federation of schools boards, New Regency, Penguin Books, and the film’s producers. The film will be accompanied in classrooms by the original 1853 memoir that inspired the movie and a study guide.
Individual school districts will decide whether or not to incorporate it in their curricula.
TV veteran Williams is funding the distribution of the film.
“When Hollywood is at its best, the power of the movies can be harnessed into a powerful educational tool,” read a statement from Williams. “This film uniquely highlights a shameful period in American history, and in doing so will evoke in students a desire to not repeat the evils of the past while inspiring them to dream big of a better and brighter future.”
Director Steve McQueen adds, “Since first reading ‘12 Years a Slave,’ it has been my dream that this book be taught in schools.”
The news comes just two days after the film triumphed at the NAACP Image Awards and a day after it picked up the Best Motion Picture prize at the annual Satellite Awards, where McQueen was named Best Director.
“12 Years a Slave” is also nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars on Sunday. The story follows Northup, a free black man living in upstate New York as he is abducted and sold into slavery.
