Of course we all need each other on this planet whether we realize it or not. This is one of those songs by Donnie McClurklin that speaks to us needing GOD. I’ve heard this song for a couple of months and am still moved by it. If you’re not already familiar with Donnie, you’re missing a treat. He has some awesome songs in his vast portfolio. I’ve seen him live a few times and even once while he preached at a church in Atlanta. This song is called “I Need You.” Let me know if you’re digging this tune.


This song “I Need You” by Donnie McClurkin is another one of the songs that is certainly on my current groove list…AND today I’m hitting you with a double dose off my groove list. The second song is by Travis Greene and it is called “Made A Way”.

Both of these songs are being dedicated to two guys at work who came to me last week to let me know that they don’t believe in the existence of God. After briefly trying (to no avail) to change their minds I did as Matthew 10:14 New International Version (NIV) says:
14 If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet.
I will continue to pray for them “from a distance”…
“I Need You” and “Made A Way” are just two of the songs that help to put trusting in God in perspective…

The above music is Donnie McClurkin’s “Great is Your Mercy.”  This is another one of those songs that helps to put life in perspective.  Too often there are those who think that everything is about them and what they are doing when in the big scheme of things it is God’s grace and mercy that even allows us to function daily.

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:4-5 NIV.  The song is several years old but it certainly has a timeless meaning.  Let me know what you think……….

For the weekend inspiration I’m posting Donnie McClurkin’s version of “Lord I Lift Your Name on High”.


A lady at work introduced me to this video this week. I don’t know how I hadn’t seen it before. This is one of those songs that goes deep to the heart. I remember the original by the Winans and Anita Baker. This time, the song “Ain’t No Need to Worry” is being sung by Anita Baker and Donnie McClurkin on the Celebration Of Gospel in 2011. The video was posted on youtube.com in 2011 as well.
