NEW YORK PASTOR/COP ARRESTED: SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP WITH MINOR

This is absolutely crazy but true.  A 38-year old Bronx NY police officer who is also a pastor has been arrested for having an affair with a 16 year old girl.  The affair allegedly lasted approximately 7 months and he met the young teen at a youth church program.

According to NY Daily News reports:

Officer Vladimir Sosa, a seven-year NYPD veteran, was arraigned Tuesday night in Bronx Criminal Court on third-degree rape, sexual misconduct and child endangerment charges.

Sosa is an evangelist who studied theology at the United Christian College in North Carolina, according to his Facebook page.

He is affiliated with the Iglesia Metodista Libre El Remanente on E. 180th St. in Tremont, the Bronx, where he met the teen, but often travels to preach at other houses of worship, said colleague Fernando Gonzalez, who helped found the church in 2001.

Gonzalez couldn’t believe the charges the Bronx cop is facing.

“It’s not true,” he said, adding that he’s always trusted Sosa with his three daughters. “It’s being made up.”

“Vladimir might have been trying to help the female in question with her spiritual life,” he said. “It might have happened that because of her young age, she confused the situation.

Apparently the girls mother found some questionable texts between her daughter and the cop and she confronted her daughter.  The girl admitted the affair to her mom who in turn got the police involved.  The arrested pastor/cop, Sosa, claims that he is innocent and has never been alone with the young lady.  However, a family friend of the girl who wants to remain anonymous says that is far from the truth.

“She’s doing very bad … she used to be a top student, a virgin, a girl that was in love with God and this man seduced her,” said a family friend of the girl, who also knew Sosa. “She is crying, very depressed … I can say that he destroyed her life.”

The three times that Sosa allegedly had consensual sex with the young lady happened at the apartment that Sosa shares with his mother.  Sosa was arrested and released on his own recognizance.

I can’t wait for your feedback on this one.  This is wrong on so many levels.

MONEY AND CHURCH IN THE NOW…

CHURCH

Today is Sunday and many people attend the church of their choice.  Most churches are filled with mostly women.  I’m not really sure why.  A lot of “salesmen” typically cater…to women for one reason or another.   What I am sure about is that churches are BIG BUSINESS!  Not only that,  though I do attend church regularly, I find that there seems to be an issue in part with organized religion.

One of the major problems with organized religion is this money component that seems to be extremely prevalent.  I’ve heard of many pastors who not only preach but they also handle the purse strings at their church as well.  This leads to “absolute power” and… as I heard stated earlier in life:  ABSOLUTE POWER RUINS!  When I first heard this phrase, I really did not understand it.  As I grew older and exposed to various and sundry things, I certainly came upon the realization of what that phrase means.

When an individual has ABSOLUTE POWER it brings about corruption.  One would think that the church would be the last place that you would find corruption, yet that is not the case.  I think we all have seen news stories where preachers have been arrested for taking money from their congregation.  Recently a Delaware pastor, Eric Sapp was sentenced to 5 years probation  for stealing more than $56,000 from Grace Baptist Church. In Houston, an associate pastor, Russell Thompson, is charged with felony theft of $250,000.  In Cleveland, Pastor Merita White, was convicted of stealing $150,000 from a member of her congregation, Mattie Cunningham. There are more stories of this than I care to repeat.

Basically, organized religion often causes competition between different religions and it forces people to lose focus on the major theme set forth in the Bible.  That theme is LOVE. There are many who call some of these pastors PIMPS IN THE PULPIT because of their emphasis on dollars rather than biblical sense.

I am posting the top 10 list of the richest pastors in the world.  I think this list is from a year ago and I’m pretty sure that Joel Olsteen is in the top 10 but they do not have him on this list.  I think I saw somewhere that his net worth is estimated at $40 million dollars.  Am I saying that they are stealing from their congregations?  Most definitely not!  What I am saying is that the church of today is BIG BUSINESS and… everything you see, is not what you see.  I hope you see what I mean.

CREFLO DOLLAR SEEKS $65 MILLION FOR JET

Honestly, this is one of those stories that is enough to make a person sick.  When I first read this story, I told myself that I was not going to post it.  But… because I used to go to this church, several people have reached out to me to get my opinion.  I then promised that I would respond via this site.

My opinion:  To me, this is the very reason that a lot of people shy away from the church.  A lot of people I talk to usually say that  that the church is full of a bunch of hypocrites and that all that they want is your money.  And… this pastor, Creflo Dollar, is one of the most talked about ministers that I personally know about.  I wont go into why I don’t go to this church any longer but trust me when I tell you that I thoroughly understand why a lot of people say what they say about this “ministry”.  Truthfully, I pray for some of these people and their patterns and pathologies.

Wait, what… You want the people to donate $65 million dollars to buy you a plane to go minister around the world???  Seriously????!!!!

Anyway, let me know what you think about the story below.

ATLANTA —

WSBTV.com reports:

A local megachurch is asking its congregation to dig deep in their pockets and donate so their church can purchase a $65 million jet.

A spokesman for Creflo Dollar’s World Changers Church International told Channel 2’s Dave Huddleston they are serious about buying the luxury plane.

In a video on the church website, Creflo Dollar asks 200,000 parishioners to donate $300 each to purchase the jet.

The Gulfstream G650 would replace the ministry’s current plane purchased in 1999, according to their website.

The current plane, made in 1984, reportedly had an engine fail during a recent trip to Australia.

The donation website says the plane would allow “Pastors Creflo and Taffi to blanket the globe with the gospel of your grace.”

“Our ministry is international. We travel to areas of the world others won’t go to spread the gospel,” spokesman Juda Engelmayer said.

Engelmayer made clear the plane would belong to the ministry, not Dollar.

Leonardo Blair, a reporter for the Christian Post, told Huddleston the jet request is one of the most talked about stories he’s covered.

“Most people think the appeal is very extreme, and they basically believe that they are sending the wrong message to the world about Christianity.”

PASTOR, CAN YOU KISS MY A_ _ ?

In this video below, this lady says a lot. I try not to be judgmental but this woman really articulates a lot of what I’m feeling about this dumbness that is put on in the name of religion. Please listen at what she has to say. Are you kidding me?

THE DEVIL PREACHES @ CHURCH

I think we all have to acknowledge that we were born broken. Many pretend that they are not at all broken and point fingers at others’ weaknesses. Perhaps that is what I’m doing here but this has got to be the lowest of the low. In a story posted on 10/9/2014, an Alabama pastor (now ex-pastor) recently confessed that he knowingly exposed several women of his congregation to HIV. He has admitted to having sex with these women while he was sick with AIDS. Of course the women share in the blame for having sex at all with Juan Demetrius McFarland, their pastor. BUT the fact that he knew he had AIDS and still had unprotected sex with these women, sometimes at the church, is reprehensible at best. This goes to prove that everything you see on this planet is not what you see. Check out the story below.

DID THIS PASTOR EMBEZZLE 1 MILLION DOLLARS?

I saw the story that is below online the other day and I meant to share it with you. These kinds of stories are getting more prevalent. Some would say that we are living in the last days but I really can’t make that prediction because the WORD says that no man knows the day nor the hour… At any rate check out this story of betrayal and embezzlement by this church pastor. I must add that the pastor has only been accused of this crime and not yet convicted. Persons are assumed innocent… until proven guilty.

TULSA, Okla. —
A local pastor was charged in federal court Wednesday in the embezzlement of almost a million dollars from a community center his church built.

Rev. Willard Jones, a pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church, faces three counts of wire fraud and one count of tax fraud.

FOX23 learned a community center the church built was the vision of Jones. He helped design it and raised funds to build it.

The U.S. attorney said he was also stealing a lot of those funds and living an expensive life, instead of serving this high-poverty area.

FOX23 was there when Jones broke ground on the community center and when it opened in September 2011.

U.S. Attorney Danny Williams said the executive board of the community center did an internal audit in 2013 when Jones said there weren’t enough operating funds.

“About $500,000 was missing. Reverend Jones would not cooperate with that audit, and subsequently the FBI was contacted,” said Williams.

An investigation by the FBI found jones had taken more than $933,000 in all.

“When in fact, he was spending the stolen funds on hotels, restaurants, gambling at casinos, liquor, automobiles and luxury items including a Rolex watch and a monogrammed mink fur coat with matching hat and gloves,” said Williams.

According to court documents, he also used money to pay for work on his house.

“Based on our investigation, there are no funds left,” said Williams.

IRS Special Agent Damon Rowe told FOX23 Jones also lied on his taxes and did not report close to $400,000.

“Our agents are committed to making sure that we follow the money to the end, and we’ll leave no stone unturned,” said Rowe.

Jones stepped down from his post as executive director of the community center, but remains pastor at Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Williams said the crimes he’s accused of committing against the community center affect a lot more people.

“Mr. Jones failed to honor the trust of the community, which needed revitalization,” said Williams.

Jones is scheduled for his first appearance in court next Friday.
