Last night, ahead of Super Bowl 50, the NFL presented its yearly awards that shine light on the best coaches and players of the season. The CAROLINA PANTHERS walked away with top honors. The awards were presented at the NFL HONORS awards show. The winners list shapes up as follows:

-Cam Newton wins NFL MVP-

  • MVP – Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers

I may be biased because the Carolina Panthers are one of my favorite NFL teams, but I hope these top awards translate into a victory today at Super Bowl 50 as they face Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. The game begins at 6:30 EST.  Lady Gaga will be singing the National Anthem and the halftime show will feature Coldplay, Beyonce’, and Bruno Mars.

The Seattle Seahawks marginalized the Denver Broncos by a score of 43-8 to win 2014 Super Bowl XLVIII.
It was the defense who dominated this game and defense wins championships. The likes of a defense like Seattle’s has not been see NFL has not seen for some time now in the NFL. Millions of people never gave Seattle a chance but they won their first ever Super Bowl overwhelmingly. Statistically the NFL’s most tight-fisted defense, never gave Manning the chance to get going in tis lop-sided game.

Today is Super Bowl Sunday. The Denver Broncos take on the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII At 6:30 PM on FOX. The game will be played at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey. I’ve already stated that I think that Seattle will win this battle, but the game has yet to be played. Goooooooo Seahawks!! In honor of the game, I’m posting the best rendition of our National Anthem that I’ve heard at a Super Bowl. It is by none other than the late, great, Whitney Houston.

Also, Bruno Mars is set to appear as the halftime entertainment. Here is his video “Just The Way You Are”. Get ready because he can jam and of course he’s going to put on the performance of a lifetime.

For those of you who don’t know… Me and Michael go back. Way back to the Ed Sullivan Show December 14, 1969. When he first opened his mouth and sang. I was hooked. Though he’s now deceased, his legend continues. I’m really posting this for the HEAL THE WORLD segment he does at the end but everything in between, speaks to his amazing artistry. With the Super Bowl rapidly approaching, I thought to post THE KING OF POP doing his thing at the 1993 Super Bowl. I’m still waiting on new music from Janet, another one of my favorites. This year’s halftime act is Bruno Mars.
