I found this article on and I thought it was so silly and childish. In the article Charles Barkley talks about how his friendship with Tiger Woods is over. Barkley indicates that he has not talked to Woods in at least a couple of years and has no idea what is going on. Wait, what??? Barkley sounds like a little high school girl who is talking about an ex-boyfriend. Real friends sometimes go through things and need their own space. Does that mean that they are no longer friends? No. Additionally, was the friendship conceived because someone wanted to be close with the #1 golfer in the world? And… what male “friend” gets in the media and talks about “we’re no longer friends”? Tiger has his career on his mind and apparently has no time for this “high school girl”.

*Charles Barkley’s friendship with Tiger Woods is over.

When asked if he’s still friends with Woods, the basketball icon, who was co-hosting with Mike Missanelli on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philly on Friday, told the caller that despite what used to be a fairly close relationship, he and Woods are no longer friends

“We’re not friends anymore,” Barkley answered.

As for when the friendship ended, that’s up for speculation. According to, Barkley and Woods may have called it quits on their friendship in 2009, around the time of Wood’s infamous sex scandal. In 2011, Barkley admitted to Mike Lupica that he hadn’t spoken with Woods in two years.

“You think you’re friends with a guy. You talk to him once a week for 15 years. You’re like, this dude is my friend, we do things, we have fun together,” Barkley said at the time. “I haven’t talked to him in two years and I’m wondering what the hell is going on.”

During that same interview, Barkley dismissed talk of him and Michael Jordan corrupting Woods while stating they had no idea the golf pro was cheating on his wife

During Friday’s radio show, Barkley offered a look inside Woods’ personality after Missanelli admitted his dislike of Woods. In Missanelli eyes, the golfer removes himself from society.

“Well I think that when you’re as great as he has been, and this probably is a negative at some point, like he was so consumed with being the greatest golfer ever, he wasn’t a very sociable guy,” Barkley explained. “Even when he was a friend of mine, he wasn’t a very sociable guy. He just had a one-track mind. He just wanted to break Jack Nicklaus’ record.”

From there, Barkley offered his opinion on some things Woods needs to consider.

“Golf is just a game. Your life don’t suck. … But I think when you put yourself in that situation where your whole life revolves around how you’re doing on a golf course, you’re gonna develop a negative attitude to a certain degree, instead of saying, ‘I’ve actually got it pretty good,’” Barkley stated. “It’s like people who say I never won a championship. I understand that. I accept that. But it ain’t like I’m sitting around saying, ‘Oh my God, my life sucks. This is so miserable.”

I’m happy to post this story. Michael Jordan has been doing his thing for a while now and his efforts have paid off. Arguably one of the greatest basketball players ever, he is now… a billionaire. I read this story earlier and of course, had to share it with you. Check it out below. I am really happy for his success!!!

According to
By Mike Ozanian
Michael Jordan is now a billionaire.

In February, my colleague and the Dean of athlete earnings, Kurt Badenhausen, pegged Jordan’s annual earnings at $90 million and his net worth at $750 million. But I have learned from sources familiar with the Charlotte Hornets that the former NBA great has increased his stake in his basketball team to 89.5% from 80% during the past several months.

Jordan first became an investor in the Hornets (then the Bobcats) in 2006 and became the controlling owner in 2010 when he bought out Robert Johnson for $175 million. Sports bankers say the Hornets are presently worth between $600 million and $625 million. The Milwaukee Bucks sold for $550 million in May, and they are considered the least valuable team in the league.

More on Forbes: The Highest-Paid Retired Athletes

Our net worth figure for Jordan uses the $600 million figure. The Hornets have $135 million of debt, which makes Jordan’s equity in the team worth $416 million. After subtracting all the cash Jordan has invested in the team, we estimate his net worth outside of the Hornets to be $600 million, giving him a net worth of a $1 billion.

Welcome to the billionaires club, Mr. Jordan.

Kia’s NBA 2013-2014 Most Valuable Player, Kevin Durant, gave a speech that brought a lot of men to tears, including me. In his speech he thanked everyone involved in his success. But it was his tearful tribute to his mom that really touched the heart and soul of millions. Thanks A. Renae for sending the video.

For all of you naysayers who think that race is not an issue in America, please stop it! Look, I’m not saying that everyone is racist but there are still a lot (and I mean a lot) of people who still have a problem with blacks. If you really take a good look at how President has been totally disrespected since he has been in office, it should be enough evidence to convince you. I know that the following information is just from one person but there are many more documented (imagine the one’s that are not documented) cases of blatant racism. In this clip below, L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling told his GF he does NOT want her bringing black people to his games … including Magic Johnson … and yes,it’s ALL on tape.

“TMZ Sports has obtained audio of Sterling making the racist declaration during a heated argument on April 9th with V. Stiviano … after she posted a photo on Instagram posing with Magic.
Sterling rails on Stiviano — who ironically is black and Mexican — for putting herself out in public with a black person (she has since taken the pic down). But it doesn’t end there. You have to listen to the audio to fully grasp the magnitude of Sterling’s racist worldview. Among the comments:
— “It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you’re associating with black people. Do you have to?” (3:30)

— “You can sleep with [black people]. You can bring them in, you can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it on that … and not to bring them to my games.” (5:15)

— “I’m just saying, in your lousy f******* Instagrams, you don’t have to have yourself with, walking with black people.” (7:45)

— “…Don’t put him [Magic] on an Instagram for the world to have to see so they have to call me. And don’t bring him to my games.” (9:13)

Sterling has a documented history of allegedly racist behavior — he’s been sued twice by the federal government for allegedly refusing to rent apartments to Blacks and Latinos.

He was also sued by former Clippers exec Elgin Baylor for racial discrimination — though a jury was ultimately not convinced and shot down Baylor’s case.

Sterling has been separated from his wife Shelly for years. She remains a key player in running the team and sources tell us she’s “mortified” by Sterling’s comments.

We have made several calls to Sterling and his people … so far, no word back.”

JAMESjames 2
Lebron James made news just 3 days ago when the NBA demanded that he change the black mask that he had been wearing, to guard against re-injury of his broken nose, for a clear one. King James, as he is affectionately called, obliged and still made news last night in a clear replacement. James scored a career-high 61 points as the Miami Heat annihilated the Charlotte Bobcats 124-107 on Monday night.
With 22 of 33 shots from the field, James broke Glen Rice’s franchise record of 56 that had been set on April 15, 1995 against Orlando. As James left the floor with 1:24 left in the game, his teammates cleared the bench and met him near mid-court with high fives and hugs. I think these numbers will increase real soon, mask or not.

Dennis Rodman
Kenny Anderson, Cliff Robinson, Vin Baker, Craig Hodges, Charles Smith, and Doug Christie are the former NBA All-Stars that Dennis Rodman has named to participate in an exhibition Basketball game in Pyongyang, North Korea. This team will pay on Kim Jong Un’s birthday, Jan. 8 against a top North Korean Senior National team.
Rodman has been criticized for his affiliation with North Korea and not talking about one of the world’s worst in terms of human rights records.
