Fitnessgrad at was kind enough to nominate studiotj for the Versatile Blogger Award. If you’ve never been to her site, you just must go there. Her site is all about fitness. Check her blog out and you just might get a good workout.
I am ever so grateful for her support and as we do here on WordPress, it’s time to pass it on. There are many sites who are “award-free”. I do respect their choice however, when I take time to make my nominations, I don’t take time to investigate who is/is not “award-free”. If you happen to be one of my nominees and you have an “award-free” site, please just accept it as me supporting you and what you do.

Anytime that I receive an award, I think about the first award that I received and it was from Xena at
Her support really helped me to understand the WordPress process. She probably has already received this award but….here you go again.
I know that there are names that I have forgotten/overlooked but please forgive me. I have come into contact with the following sites and I wish to offer them this award as a sign of support.

AND the other nominees are……… devereaux-frazier

Nominees, I challenge you to find a new blogger to pass the support on to. Thank each of you again for all of the support that you give!!!

This is the second time that I have received this award and I am just as delighted and appreciative as the first time. Christian at was kind enough to honor me with this award. If you have not visited his site, you definitely must do so. He is definitely one of my heroes. I am so amazed at his weight loss success story. He transformed his body by losing……..187 pounds. (I think I found some of the weight he lost). That means he was basically carrying around another person. He gives tips to others about losing weight as well. Kudos to him for his continued success. Don’t forget to go and check him out!

“The Sunshine Blogger Award is given to those who inspire and bring sunshine into the lives of their readers and fellow bloggers.”
I was given a series of questions. Here are my answers:

1.Do you believe in giving people second chances?
I do believe in giving others a 2nd chance but… depending on what they have done, I deal with them with a long handled spoon (that means from a distance).

2.Would you give your life for someone else you didn’t know if it saved theirs?
I would have to be in that situation to be able to answer that question.

3.Is there a difference between ‘being in love’ and ‘I love you’?
There is a HUGE difference in ‘being in love’ and ‘I love you.’ HUGE DIFFERENCE!

4.Have you ever been bullied, if yes, when and why?
I have been bullied. Many years ago in middle school I was really afraid of this much bigger guy who bullied and intimidated most of us. One day I decided to stand up to him and that ended my days of being bullied.

5.Do you believe in life after death?
I certainly believe in life after death. Specifically… I believe that God sent Jesus to die on the cross for my sins and that by trusting and believing in HIM this will lead to ETERNAL LIFE in Heaven.
6.If given a chance to, would you have taken a different path in life?
In some ways I would say yes and other ways I would say no. God is the one that sees our end at the beginning. We may not like the different detours as we travel along the way but we are just travelers on a journey. I wish I had done this or that but for the most part, I would say that I would not have taken a different path.
7.Could you kill someone to save your own life?
I really hope to never be put in a situation to take another life. If it meant saving my own life, I think that I probably would.

8.What would you do if you knew tomorrow we would all die?
I would pray and try to stay as positive and calm as possible.
9.If the world rid of all of its clothes and we had to walk around nude, how would you manage?
I would lose a few pounds and strut my stuff….lol.

10.Do you blog for recreation or for work?
I blog for recreation.

Since I received this award, I am going to ask one question to my nominees:

-Without using your name or your occupation, tell us about yourself-

These are a few of the sites that I am nominating for this award. I know that some of them have received this award before but…here we go again!!!

Stay tuned. I am behind on awards and I must complete 2 other awards very soon!!!

It gives me great pleasure to pass on some of the love that I have been given…

Blogger recognition award

The Rules:

  1. Write a post to show your award.
  2. Give a brief story of how your blog started.
  3. Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
  4. Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  5. Select 15 other blogs you want to give the award to.

I want to first thank David at for honoring studiotj with this award.  As I have mentioned before, his blog is centered on personal fitness and we all need to visit his site frequently…(I’m at least speaking for myself on that one).  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Studiotj got started as a way for me to put a positive spin on some of the topics that interests me.  I wanted to post various things and not always focus on the most negative aspect of everything.  Enough about me.  My advise to others who want to start a blog is to: 1.) Just get started and 2.) REMEMBER:  WORDS ARE POWERFUL!  3.)  Use that power wisely!  There are so many people that I want to give this to but these are the ones that come to mind.  MUCH LOVE!!!

And the nominees are:  (mopana) (marthashaw) (arcaneowl) (Xena) (cjstorm)

…”til you give it away!  I’ve always loved this quote and am posting it to remind others to give away some love to someone as soon as you can.  It can be as simple as a phone call, an email, a smile, a kind word, or some other simple kind gesture.  in my case, I will soon be giving away some love to a few of my wordpress friends.  Just yesterday, studiotj received another award and this one was from Chape Personal Trainer and is called the Blogger Recognition Award.

Chape’s blog is a great site that is always giving great tips on ways to workout.  Don’t we all need that?  I can speak for myself and say YES!!!

I am ever so grateful for this and will be soon selecting some others to share the love.  If you’re reading this Xena, DaintyM, Virgobeauty, cjstorm, mopane, and others…LOVE……… in the air!!!

Today, I’m letting this little girl help me to give some R-E-S-P-E-C-T  to each of you that this blog interacts with regularly. Her name is Johanna Colon and this video was taken in 2015 at a dance recital.    This is the 29th day of February 2016 and I’m using my extra day of the year to heap a level of praise on each of you.  Since I was given this award with no restrictions, I’m going to pay it forward… the same way.  I hope you do the same.  I have a great level of R-E-S-P-E-C-T for the support you’ve given.

I know this is not customary but I must first give this award back to Xena @

She gave it to me and definitely deserves to receive my R-S-P-E-C-T!!!  I can’t say enough about this lady and the support that she has provided to this blog.  Thank you Xena.  I’m honored to know you!!!

Secondly, I have to give this award to a guest blogger on Xena’s blog and a regular commenter that I really R-E-S-PE–C-T a lot.  That person is:  yahtzeebutterfly   Kudos Yahtzee on all that you do!

Clarion Alley 2012

Respect Award

The other blogs that I’m nominating for the Respect Award are:

There are more sites that also deserve much respect.  Some of them choose not to receive awards.  Some of them I have perhaps overlooked on this go-around but just know, I have a lot of R-E-S-P-E-C-T for you all.  Take a moment to visit these wonderful blogs and perhaps you may make a new friend.  Much R-E-S-P-E-C-T to each of you.

First of all I want to thank one of my favorites, Xena at for nominating me.  If you haven’t visited her site, you must do so.  Once there, you’ll be treated properly.  Her mantra: We Hold These Truths To Be Self-Evident that all men are created equal.

I am so behind in getting some of these awards out.  But…. I guess there is no deadline in doing so.  Today is a very busy day but I certainly wanted to get this done.  These blogs that I’m nominating today are just some of the sites that bring me joy and hopefully studiotj does the same for them.  There are many others.  I’m doing something a little different with this award.  Instead of answering a bunch of questions, I want you to pretend that you are receiving a major award.  Let us read your acceptance speech!  There is one in particular that I can’t wait to read and I will not say which one.  Good Luck.  The nominees are as follows:

Last night, ahead of Super Bowl 50, the NFL presented its yearly awards that shine light on the best coaches and players of the season. The CAROLINA PANTHERS walked away with top honors. The awards were presented at the NFL HONORS awards show. The winners list shapes up as follows:

Image result for cam newton images

-Cam Newton wins NFL MVP-

  • MVP – Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers
  • Offensive Player of the Year – Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers
  • Defensive Player of the Year – J.J. Watt, Texans
  • Offensive Rookie of the Year – Todd Gurley, Rams
  • Defensive Rookie of the Year – Marcus Peters, Chiefs
  • Comeback Player of the Year – Eric Berry, Chiefs
  • Coach of the Year – Ron Rivera, Carolina Panthers
  • Assistant Coach of the Year – Wade Phillips, Broncos defensive coordinator

I may be biased because the Carolina Panthers are one of my favorite NFL teams, but I hope these top awards translate into a victory today at Super Bowl 50 as they face Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. The game begins at 6:30 EST.  Lady Gaga will be singing the National Anthem and the halftime show will feature Coldplay, Beyonce’, and Bruno Mars.

223023-Animated-Happy-Anniversary-ImageToday marks the 3rd anniversary of studiotj.  I am very thankful for the friendships that I have made here in blogosphere.  It’s interesting that something that initially started out as a hobby, has turned into so much more.  The fun, the information, the thought-process, the comments, the gifs (especially from Thumbup) has made this journey so exhilarating.  The focus here remains the same and that is to present ideas and stories without always focusing on the most negative aspect of it.  I am still in awe of those who post everyday and sometimes several times a day.  I wish I had the time.  Thanks again to everyone for all you do to support this journey.

As promised, I am nominating several blogs for an award that I received a few months back from

The internet exploded last night as Steve Harvey announced the wrong winner at the 2015 Miss Universe pageant. Miss Colombia was announced as the winner instead of Miss Philippines… The crown was then taken from Miss Columbia and given to Miss Philippines,Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach.  Watch as Steve Harvey announce wrong Miss Universe winner and then has to announce the mistake.  Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez Arevalo was already wearing the crown as this year’s Miss Universe winner when the host Steve Harvey returned to apologize.  The internet went bananas with comments that I won’t even take time to post on this site.  After all, it was just a mistake.   Watch the video below.
