FALL BACK

This is a reminder to set your clocks back 1 hour tonight because we are “falling back” to eastern standard time. We’ve been operating on daylight saving time.

•Daylight Saving Time began: Sunday 12 March 2017 02:00 local time. Clocks went forward one hour.
•Daylight Saving Time ends: 5 November 2017 02:00 local time. Clocks go back one hour.
According to al.com
“Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday Nov. 5, meaning you should set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night. The tradition of “falling back” means you will get an extra hour to sleep Sunday morning but also signals the start of dark afternoons.

The switch pushes sunrise and sunset back an hour, meaning there will be more light in the morning with darkness coming sooner in the afternoon. On Sunday, sunset time will be around 4:50 p.m. CST. Hawaii and Arizona don’t observe Daylight Saving Time, meaning there’s no springing forward or falling backward on the clocks. U.S. territories such as American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands don’t make the change, either.”
