MOTIVATIONAL MOMENT

Good, better, best. Never let it rest. ‘Til your good is better and your better is best. St. Jerome

According to his bio, St. Jerome is the second most voluminous writer (after Augustine of Hippo) in ancient Latin Christianity. In the Roman Catholic Church, he is recognized as the patron saint of translators, librarians and encyclopedists.

When I read this quote today, it put me in the mind of something that I wrote many years ago. It simply said:

“If the best that you can do
Is the best that you can do
Then do….
The best that you can do”

  1. Alrighty then! I love it. Striving to do the best that we can do, be the best that we can be, is for the good of our highest and best. It doesn’t take a whole lotta words to give meaning to the simplicity of living your best life.
