Years ago I saw the following equation regarding attitude and I’m sharing it with you today. It’s so interesting that it all adds up. The alphabet A-Z has 26 letters. Watch as each letter of attitude is added up. Remember A=1 and Z=26.

A 1
T 20
T 20
I 9
T 20
U 21
D 4
E 5
Attitude equals 100% of everything you do.
Have a great day!!

Kind Gestures of Love……..

This story is so awesome. When read it I knew I had to share. I hope you get the spirit of this awesome gesture.

A man often bought oranges from an old lady. After they were weighed, paid for and put in his bag, he would always pick one from his bag, peel it, put a slice or two in his mouth, complain it was too sour and would say to the old lady: ‘I am not very fond of eating this sour orange so why don’t you taste it for me’.

In this way he would pass on the orange to the old lady. She would then put one slice in her mouth and give a smiling response: ‘Why? it’s so sweet and juicy. It simply melts in my mouth,’ but by then the young man was gone with his bag. His wife, who always accompanied him, was a little confused and asked: ‘the oranges are always sweet, then why do you create this drama every time we approach her?’

He smiled and told…

This is a post I did several years ago. I thought I’d share it again today.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a leader who, like Mahatma Gandhi before him, and Nelson Mandela after him, showed us the way from weakness and division to strength in unity.

He challenged and inspired us to reach deeper within ourselves, despite ourselves, for our best, which sometimes is, simply, better than yesterday. His power endures because it’s rooted in the courage to hold hope and faith in each others potential: “knowing” we can do it… we can be better every day, each in our own way.

On this, the U.S. holiday celebrating his life and legacy, I present you with ten of his extraordinary thoughts on leadership:
•”A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus but a molder of consensus.”

•”I am not interested in power for power’s sake, but I’m interested in power that is moral, that is right and that is good.”

•”All men are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality.”

•”Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”

•”The time is always right to do the right thing.”

•”We must use time creatively.”

•”Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”

•”The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically.”

•”Never succumb to the temptation of bitterness.”

•”The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy”

As soon as I saw this I knew that I had to share it with you. This is a tribute to one of the best presidents of our lifetime, President Barack Obama. There is so much that I can say about him and how he has affected this country in a positive way. I don’t have time today to adequately pay tribute to this iconic man but one day soon I will. Today I’m going to let JOE THOMAS AND JOEY GALLANT’s OBAMA TRIBUTE put it in perspective. I know that the day is rapidly approaching for him to leave office and because of some of the things that he has had to endure I’m happy for him and his family to leave the White House. I will not pull tomorrow’s clouds over today’s sunshine by going into a lot of political malarkey. I’ll just let you enjoy this video. Thanks to loyal reader A. Renae for sending me this. Enjoy your day!!!

I heard this song for the first time yesterday. I liked this one immediately. It says a lot and that’s why I’m glad that it has the lyrics in this video. “My World Needs You” is by Kirk Franklin feat. Tasha Cobbs, Tamela Mann, & Sarah Reeves. All of these singers are great individually and the fact that they teamed up for this song is exceptional. I’m hopeful that this song will fill up some space in your day. You’ve got to Let me know what you think about it.

This goes on my list of: If this were my child………………..
Okay, I admit that I don’t know the full story here but certainly I can tell you that there is no reason for this type of behavior from this police officer. This looks more like some WWE wrestling match. I know, I’ve gotten ahead of myself….again. Here’s what I know from the video above and other reports that I’ve listened to. There was a fight between two female students that was apparently broken up by the officer in question and another teacher. The officer, for some odd reason, picked one of the girls up and body-slammed her to the floor. He then picked her up and escorted her out of the room. From the looks of things….this police violence has already started and we are just four days into the new year……………
THANK GOD that I don’t have to deal with this personally. I would probably be in real trouble.

One of the shows that I watch on television is Tyler Perry’s “The Haves and Have Nots”. On this show you get to see the good, the bad, and the ugly side of things. This is how you end a season….WITH A BANG!!! Last season ended showing the bad….real bad; BUT good for us viewers (lol). I’m posting a clip of how the show ended (so enter at your OWN risk). You’re going to have to catch up on your OWN but in this particular clip, Katheryn invites Veronica and the DA to her home and then does the unimaginable when she confronts and murders the DA in front of Veronica. The new season begins tonight on OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network). I got this note from Tyler Perry yesterday:

Hey TJ,

WELL HERE WE GO!! Happy New Year my people! Tomorrow, Tuesday January 3rd at 9/8c The Haves And The Have Nots returns to OWN!! Y’all ready!!

I hope you get caught up into the web of Tyler Perry on this fantastic show about “The Haves and Have Nots”…..

Today is January 1, 2017, AKA New Year’s Day. Today marks the beginning of another year. Some believe that goals or resolutions set by most people on this day or during this time ordinarily fail. I have no idea about the statistics regarding the same but I do know that you can’t possibly reach a goal that is never set. I have set some goals for myself this year and I hope many of you have as well. BUT in setting those goals, make them realistic. Write them down. Go back and re-visit them often. Put them in a place where you have to see them regularly. Remember why you set that goal in the first place. Another important thing to do is to speak that goal out loud. Whether you know it or not, you can speak things into existence. Our example of that is the Creator himself. God said……and God said…..and God said. Then God saw….what God said. I hope you got that. Check it out below.

Genesis 1 King James Version (KJV)

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! Also, thanks to a co-worker, Jerome, for
the idea about today’s title!
