A friend of mine re-blogged one of her own posts and after reading it, I found it worth re-blogging as well. A lot of people started the new year with resolutions (dreams). Some of them have already been deferred. This post is a way of encouraging you to revisit those dreams right away. YOU have what it takes to make those dreams come true.

I’ve sometimes been guilty of getting stuck in a dream – one that plays over and over in my head like a bad movie. I become tortured by the repetitiveness of these recurring images that seem never able to become a reality. At heart I am procrastinator and must push myself to turn my dreams into action. I can over think the process of making my dreams happen — to the point of paralysis.

I am learning, though, that if we treat every dream like an exciting new project and not some impossible, unreachable climb up Mount Everest, it might be easier to reach. As Project Manager I am able to write out a plan of action – step by step – adding a timeline – then make the project happen, enjoying the journey as I go. The minute I think of what I want to do as a “dream”…

andre crouch

One of gospel music’s pioneers, Andre Crouch, died this week. I know a lot of his music and while scrolling through his portfolio, I discovered this song that I have always loved and did not know that it belonged to him. I’ll give you more information later about his home going service, but I wanted to share this song with you now. It is called “Tell Them”. And it’s beautiful.

Be Content Whatever The Circumstance

This gentleman liked the post that I posted earlier today and I went to his blog only to find something WONDERFUL. The most apropos thing about this post is that I was just having a conversation with a friend about the same topic less than an hour ago. Some would call that spiritual confirmation. At any rate, check out this post and be content!

Vincent Egoro

There is a fable about a king who went to his garden one morning, only to find everything withered and dying. He asked the oak tree that stood near the gate what the trouble was. The oak said it was tired of life and determined to die because it was not tall and beautiful like the pine tree. The pine was troubled because it could not bear grapes like the grapevine. The grapevine was determined to throw its life away because it could not stand erect and produce fruit as large as peaches. The geranium was fretting because it was not tall and fragrant like the lilac.

And so it went throughout the garden. Yet coming to a violet, the king found its face as bright and happy as ever and said, “Well, violet, I’m glad to find one brave little flower in the midst of this discouragement. You don’t…

This is one of those songs that I immediately fell in love with. I can remember riding along one day when it came on the radio and the spirit of the song took over the car. I have since learned that the song is “Fill Me Up” by Casey J. I am posting this song and the following scripture for my mid-week inspiration. The scripture places an emphasis on love. With all of the hate going on in this world, we need all of the love that we can get. And as a young lady told me one day, anyone who knows God, knows love.

Ephesians 5:1-2King James Version (KJV)
1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

About a week ago I introduced a trailer for a reality show that is trying to get picked up by a television station. I’m not sure that they will ever make it to television but I certainly am prepared to show you episode 1 on studiotj. Yes of course it’s a mess but I’ve got to show you that everything that you see… is not what you see. I hope you caught that nugget. You’ve got to learn to trust GOD and not any man or woman on this planet. If you don’t get anything from what I said, get that!!! You’ve got to let me know what you think. There’s more to come.

We’re just a few days into 2015 but we can’t entirely forget 2014 especially when watching this footage of bloopers. Some of these are hilarious. Additionally, what’s funny to me may not be funny to you and vice versa. Hopefully you will find something here to amuse you. I can assure you that you will. Enjoy!

Today is January 1,2015. I am starting the year just like I ended it… PRAISING GOD for all that HE has done. I am on Tyler Perry’s mailing list (no, I don’t personally know him). He sent out the following email today. Check it out:

Hey TJ,

I was driving in my car today and had my iPod on shuffle. I have thousands of songs but this one brought tears to my eyes. It’s so appropriate for the new year. Read the lyrics and buy this song if you can. It’s powerful.
“Dear God” by Smokie Norful
[Verse 1:]
It feels so good to make it this far

And I didn’t think I could take it so long

There were days I wanted to quit

I said surely this is it

But I held on

And I watched as so called friends turn and walk away

It hurt so much I didn’t have words to say

But even when my day turns to night and nothing seems just right

Lord I thank you for, for my life
For my life, Lord I thank you

For every victory in you I’ve seen

And all the moments I know it was you who kept me

So I thank you for, for my life
[Verse 2:]
And I watched you take my family from there to here

And when times were a lil rough God I know you were near

And the moments I thought I failed I was reminded of your nails

So I held on

And if I never live to see another day

There is nothing I would change or take away
I’ve had so many ups

That they far out way my downs

Lord I thank you for my life
[back to chorus]
[Verse 3:]
I realized some didn’t make it…

I could’ve been one of the ones who lost my way

And there were times Lord I know I almost went crazy

But I’m still here, with my life
[back to chorus]
It may not be all that I’d hoped for

And every dream has not yet been realized

But to see your face one day God

I know it’s all gonna be worth it
[Verse 4:]
So I thank you

Thank you for every mountain every valley

God every thing you brought me through

Thank you!

I know I know it was you

Just wanna take the time to say thank you Jesus for my life
