HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY

Roses

In case any of you have forgotten, this is Mother’s Day weekend. I am going to leave this post up all weekend long as a tribute to mothers everywhere. I can remember being introduced to this song back in elementary school. The original lyrics were written in 1915 and the song is titled Mother:

M Is for the Many things she gave me,
O Means only that she’s growing Old.
T Is for the Tears she shed to save me,
H Is for her Heart of purest gold.
E Is for her Eyes with love light shining,
R Means Right and Right she’ll always be.

Put them all together, They spell MOTHER.
A word that means the world to me.
